What focus simply refers to, in the case of studying, is your ability to study without being distracted. It’s not so much a mental exercise as it is a set of decisions you need to make, sometimes beforehand, to minimize distractions.

For example, if you know you have a test coming up, a great way to maintain your focus would be shutting off the cell phone for a few hours. You might also consider stepping out if there are simply no quiet areas in your home to study. And, of course, unless you need that HughesNet internet to research a topic, it’s highly recommended you shut down the Facebook, MySpace and anything else you do online.

If you are able to master focusing, then studying can come much more easily, and you will no doubt see results on your next test.
